The goal of our prenatal meetings is to build a relationship of trust and empowerment while preparing you to step fully into the role of being your own midwife. Together, we’ll focus on helping you take radical responsibility for your pregnancy and birth by equipping you with knowledge, tools, and confidence to navigate this journey.

During these visits, we’ll create a personalized birth plan that reflects your vision and values, while also addressing postpartum preparation with a baby and self-care plan. My role is to guide you in understanding the natural, physiological process of birth and how to support it without unnecessary interventions. We’ll also practice hands-on comfort techniques and explore how you and your partner can work together to create a safe and peaceful birthing environment.

As your Birthkeeper, I am here to support you as you prepare to trust your instincts and make informed decisions every step of the way. I will provide guidance and resources when needed, while holding space for your autonomy and the sacredness of this journey. My aim is to help you feel confident, capable, and ready to embrace this experience with trust in your body and your baby.

During your labour, I will hold space for you with quiet presence and intuitive support as you bring new life into the world. My role is not to manage or direct your birth but to encourage and guide you as needed, helping you stay connected to your instincts and the natural rhythms of birth.

I will support you in making informed decisions and taking full responsibility for your choices throughout the process. I am also here to assist your partner in being your primary support, offering gentle reminders to rest, eat, and stay hydrated so you both have the energy and focus needed.

As you transition into the golden hour, I will help promote the sacred space of bonding and ensure a calm, oxytocin-rich atmosphere to facilitate your baby’s first moments earthside, and the birth of your placenta. Whether that means supporting your first breastfeed, offering reassurance, or simply stepping back to give you space, my goal is to honour and uphold the intimacy of this time.

Once your birth is complete, I will tidy up the space, ensuring you can rest and focus entirely on your baby. From clearing away supplies to making sure your environment is calm and comfortable, I’ll take care of the details so you can begin this next chapter with ease.

When you feel grounded and ready, I will quietly step away, leaving you to continue your journey as a family with confidence and peace.

Within the first few days following the birth of your baby, I will visit to check in on how you and your family are settling into this new chapter. My focus is on ensuring you feel supported as you recover and adjust, offering gentle guidance and encouragement during this time.

I wholeheartedly encourage mothers to embrace the first 40 days of rest and restoration, allowing your body the time it needs to heal and your family the space to grow your beautiful new bond. This sacred period is an opportunity to nurture yourself and your baby without external pressures.

During our postpartum visits, I can answer questions about newborn care, breastfeeding, or postpartum recovery. I am also here to provide resources or connect you with additional support if needed, all while respecting the autonomy and natural rhythm of your family’s journey.
